artist's alchemy
a creative correspondence
for curious people.
The Spark Lab Post is for anyone craving a more creative life. These are small sparks to add to your life that will help your creative flame burn brighter. Every Lab will be interactive, and empower you to embrace wonder and curiosity.
Spots are limited so that I can ensure every envelope has the tangible care it deserves—from my hands to yours.
Each Spark Lab will dive into one inspiring topic from the natural world, human history, or everyday objects. We'll explore the topic from many angles, experiment with new sidequests to see what resonates, and express our own unique voice and creativity through its inspiration. Inside an envelope delivered to your mailbox you'll find the month's creative syllabus, including:
● A vintage newspaper style letter, featuring:
● 3-5 creative sidequests in categories like Reflect, Notice, Write, Experiment, or Make (think: exercises that turn your day into a scavenger hunt, writing and journal prompts for expression and imagination, or ideas for creating art with materials you love or have.)
● beautiful illustrations curated from the public domain or drawn by me (depending on the theme's vibe, and perfect for junk journaling)
● drawing prompts for whimsical scenes
● books and other media recommendations for further inspiration
● A collectible postage-stamp style sticker, illustrated by me
● A 4x6 print of my art, that doubles as a postcard so you can share the inspiration if you're out of wall space
I also offer 2 upgrade tiers:
The Practice Post upgrade is for those who want to bolster their creative practice, and also includes:
● A small craft with supplies and instructions, to help you get creating right away. May be a collage, a watercolor painting, a small fiber craft, etc.
● A typewritten quote on textured paper
The Papercraft Post upgrade is for crafters who love or want to try paper craft engineering, and includes everything above, plus:
● An original kinetic paper craft: An intricate paper mechanism inspired by each Spark Lab's theme and designed by me! Designs may include articulated paper puppets, layered interactive paper devices, or unfolding scenes or models.
● Premium materials: Printed on sturdy cardstock, ready for you to color, cut, and assemble.
● Assembly hardware: All necessary metal brads and fasteners included flat in your envelope.
All inspired by that month's topic,
and meant to inspire you, too.
At its heart, the Spark Lab Post mail club is about the human alchemy of creativity: seeing the beauty in ordinary materials, thoughts, and moments, and transforming them into something more profound than the sum of their parts. By living a more creative life, we can learn to see more vividly, and move through every day with curiosity, joy and deeper wonder.
